VeLiVeLi (வெளிவெளி)!

VeLiVeLi ~ Hymn explanation

VeLiVeLi (emptiness outside) is the external expression (beyond the perceived personality) of the (inner) self. The dual emphasis is because the self (அருவம் aka Purusha i.e. Shiva) that resides in the UlVeLi (உள்வெளி - emptiness within) that finds expression thru the being (உருவம் aka PrAkruti i.e. Shakti - not just human, but all beings created) in the external emptiness (vast void of the known & expanding universe), which in turn is perceived differently by different beings! 🙏🏼😌🙌🏼 Both are MAyA (not reality / Truth).

In the emptiness outside…

(I) don’t desire the Life within a limited circle of near & dear

(I) don’t desire the purposeless Life lived by holding on to (one’s) desires

(I) don’t desire the Life of / with those who (senselessly) seek only pleasures of the sense organs

(I) don’t desire the Life full of degrees & titles that merely represent the accumulation of knowledge & skills (but lacking awareness)

(I) don’t desire the Life of scheming to sell my knowledge (for survival / better social status)

(I) don’t desire the Life full of hard rules & regulations that are expected to be followed (without really knowing the purpose)

(I) don’t desire the Life that rejects this being (physical form) and leaves everything (like a renunciate)

(I) desire the Life in which (even when I am awake) I’m at peace (as if in meditation) with the Lord’s Grace flowing like a stream (forever).
